Therapy in Pregnancy & Postpartum

  • PREGNANT MOTHERS

Women often face challenges with physical health, emotional distress, and relationships during the pregnancy journey.

Receiving support through this period is a protective and caring move for you and your baby. Research shows that therapy during pregnancy can prevent the intensity of anxiety or depression symptoms postpartum.

See my Preparing for Baby Services for tailored Couple sessions, so you prepare in the most important ways possible for baby’s arrival & prevent common relationship struggles postpartum.

  • POSTPARTUM MOTHERS

Mothers go through an incredible transition of the body, mind, and emotions as they welcome a baby into the world.

Adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression, and strained couple/family relationships are incredibly common during this time. You are not alone.

In our work, we would ahelp give you the support and way to move through this time with peace and support, rather than with angst and turmoil.

  • COUPLES THERAPY in PREGNANCY & POSTPARTUM

Couples face an incredible adjustment whether they are welcoming their first or fourth baby. all while dealing with less sleep and more responsibilities and stressors.

My biggest message to couples during this time is that the distress during this period could be greatly lessened if relationships were working better, and enjoying a greater sense of connection and peace.

This is a time for you and your family to feel connected- not isolated and unheard. That is not the dynamic you want to nurture your child in.

I work to help bring realistic expectations, ways of connecting, and feeling more supported during this special stage of life.

I also have a podcast on the struggles Moms & Family Members face during Pregnancy, Postpartum & Early Childhood called Bonds after Baby. Check it out for additional support and perspective.
